Making of: The Squad

Manuel Tauber-Romieri of Studio 9 in Austria photographed the ‘Wolf Pack’, the players of Austrian soccer club ‘SKN St. Poelten’ for their popular club calendar.

To capture the ‘wolves’ in motion and to create dynamic shots, Manuel used four Expert D 1000 monolights. Thanks to the integrated WiFi Remote control via the ‘Hensel Remote’ app, he could plan and prepare the lighting set-ups in advance, and he could even save the setups for later use or following shoots.

As light modifiers, a Grand 190 softbox, a Stripbox 30 x 180 and metal reflectors were used. All the accessories, the background and other props were made by hand.
