Review: Workshop “High Fashion auf dem Airfield 2016”
Again this year, fans of extraordinary on-location-photography met on the airfield of Arlt Aircraft Service in Worms, Germany, to really take off with Christian Kuhlmann and the Hensel Porty L battery generators.
Workshop manager Christian Kuhlmann about the event:
“On 9 July 2016, 16 inquisitive participants met for this year´s edition of “High fashion on the airfield“ on the airfield in Worms, Germany. Using a Piper PA28, a Ford GTO Convertible, an Aston Martin DB9, and six models, they were allowed to photograph to their hearts content.
A total of four Hensel Porty L were on location and did exactly what they were designed to do: create really nice light at the right moment! With the help of various light shapers (7“ reflector, 9“ reflector, 14“ tube, beauty dish) that have proved successful throughout many years of on-location work, the participants were able to draw on plentiful resources.
Designers Anna Steyer and Jana Hofmann, who have known each other since their time together at the Stuttgart State School of Fashion, Germany, dressed our female models in couture and custom-made pieces.
Much to the joy of all participants, another motif showed up in the afternoon hours: A DeLorean DMC-12… what fun and a wonderful crack in our space-time continuum! With beautiful weather and a great photogenic sunset, picture-taking continued until shortly before 9 pm when everyone went home with a happy face.
And just to make mention of it, some participants do come (also) because of the catering :-)
A huge “Thank You” to everyone involved and to all of those we were allowed to trouble. Utmost thanks to the facility manager Erwin Arlt of Arlt Aircraft Service! Without him, this workshop would not have been possible.”
We have nothing else to add except, of course, a whole package full of wonderful event pictures of the workshop:
